EPOA does not have municipal sewer service. Instead we have an on-site waste treatment system composed of a network of main and lateral drainage lines, an 18,000 gal. septic tank, and an effluent network of leach lines and dry wells. When the toilet won’t flush, or worse when “stuff” starts flowing the wrong way and flooding the house, life is not good. Practicing a few simple habits can make that scenario much less likely. Only toilet paper may be flushed in toilets. Baby wipes, diapers, feminine hygiene products, adult wipes, and any other items (even the ones that are “flushable”) will clog the system and flood your house. Be warned.
